Who we are
We are an organisation based in Cardiff and we believe that all children should have access to a laptop computer for schoolwork. We refurbish and restore old laptops and give them to school students without them.
Re3 is run by a GCSE computer science student in Cardiff with support from his family and friends!
Our story starts at the beginning of the first COVID-19 lockdown, when we received an old, slow acer laptop. We wiped it and installed RaspberryPiOS onto it, which made it run much faster. At the same time, schools across the country were moving to online learning.
The shocking statistic that, in some areas, more than 60% of children don’t have access to a laptop is why Re3 was born.
Why not reboot, restore and repurpose old laptops for those that don’t have them.

Hi, I have a Toshiba laptop with charging cable which I am getting rid of. The operating system would need to be reinstalled, but I am happy to donate if it can be put to use.
Can you please let me know if you would like to take this from me. I live in Splott, so could probably arrange to get it to you if you are in Cardiff.
